You Need to Upgrade to Latest TweetCaster – Here’s Why

It is CRITICAL that you upgrade to the latest version of TweetCaster.

Twitter recently asked that all 3rd Party Twitter apps like TweetCaster obtain more detailed permissions from users. (Here is the announcement from Twitter.) We added this new permission process to the latest version of TweetCaster. So, if you have upgraded, you have already gone through this new authorization process for each of your Twitter accounts.

However, if you do not have the latest version of TweetCaster by June 30, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEND AND RECEIVE DIRECT MESSAGES. To upgrade now, go to tweetcaster.com to get the update.

Check “About” within the TweetCaster app to see which version you have. Here are the latest versions:

  • Android: 3.1 (Android Market), 3.1.2 (Amazon), 3.1._ in other stores
  • iPhone: 1.4
  • Windows Phone 7: 1.3
  • Android Tablet (Beta): 0.9

The main problem with TweetCaster is its inability to quickly @ (mention) my followers in a tweet. I don’t want to have to type out a follower’s name Its also a nice interface, but its still pretty slow. Therefore, I may have to continue to use my faithful Ubertwitter (well, Ubersocial) for now! :) and there is not a TMI option for extended tweets.

Stacy: I don’t know what kind of phone u have, but Tweetcaster on my phone and its easy to mention aka tweet someone without typing their whole Twitter name, u either hit menu on their page and it will say mention or when ur holding ur phone vertically when u hit @ and start typing their name everyone ur following with the same first letters will pop up and u can select. The only thing I don’t like is I can’t see anyone else’s responses unless they mention me in it or they trend something but other than that tweetcaster can’t be any easier to use. It’s also very fast and if its not loading it gives u the option to refresh. Like I said I don’t know what phone u have but on the HTC EVO the app and widget work great.

I really liked TweetCaster, however the ‘Share to Facebook’ feature no longer works. It only logs me into FB, and I don’t want to have to retype my tweet!

An tweet scheduler would be amazing! This is the feature I am currently searching for to use with my professional account where I tweet news articles. I don’t want to flood my follwers’ timelines!

in twitter official app for android, we can see (‘xxx’ is following you) in someone’s profile. can tweetcaster add that feature too?

I really like tweetcaster’s interface but i really would like if there’s push notifications for mentions and autocomplete for names instead of searching for users. Other than that, its perfect!

i love that app. easy to use and the nearby-search option is the unique. i highly recommend to everybody. 2 – 3 times tweetcaster got into non responding mode so i had to shut it down start the app. again, i think it has some kind of inconsistency with BADA O.S.,

TweetCaster for bada is the best so far for me. However this annoying instability is getting worst and often. After i used this app for a while it started to close the app right after i turn it on, on for 5 seconds and disappeared. it keeps doing this. i dont know how to fix it.

I try to fix it by unslinstalling and reinstall it again. The problem still persists.

    Can anyone help me please?
    i use Samsang wave ii.
