We just released updates to TweetCaster for both Android and iOS. The improvements are pretty sweet, so we wanted to share.
Android (6.0)
My Stats – A TweetCaster exclusive, this killer feature shows you useful stats about the tweets and people in your timeline. At any time, you can see who is tweeting the most, what tweets are the most retweeted, who has the most followers, etc. Access My Stats directly from your profile or from the menu.
Smarter SmartLists - Now your lists cache and keep your place, just like your main timeline. They also support TweetMarker (if you have it turned on in settings), keeping your place across multiple devices. If you haven’t organized your timeline into lists, now is the time. Lists are the best way to get organized so you don’t miss the most important tweets.
Sharing – We’ve made it easier than ever to share TweetCaster with friends. Just tap your phone’s menu button and tap share to send your friends a link to download TweetCaster from Google Play.
iOS (2.4)
Readability – This may be our favorite improvement. Now when you click on a link in one of your tweets, you’ll have the option to toggle to Readability view. This formats the article perfectly for your iPhone screen, dramatically improving the reading experience. No more pinching/zooming to be able to read a tiny web view! Love it!

Similar Users - This is another SWEET feature. If you like a particular tweeter, you can let TweetCaster suggest similar people. Tap on a profile, scroll down and tap “More” and you’ll see Similar Users. Just tap that to see TweetCaster’s suggestions.
Retina Display for iPad – Images have now been optimized for the new iPad Retina Display. You’ll immediately notice how crisp and clean it looks.

Got a favorite TweetCaster feature? Let us know in the comments.

When are you going to release a desktop version? I use Tweetdeck instead of Tweetcaster because you don’t have a desktop version.
TweetMarker is a killer feature for me as I now use TweetCaster on three devices.
Tweetcaster is great.keep up the good work.
Tweetcaster is great for sports. Keep up the good work.

Please add push notifications for bada!
I’m not getting push notifications for mentions or DM’s. Is there any way to fix this? Also, are you guys planning on updating this app design wise using Google’s android design parameters?
We are working on push notifications coming soon.
I’m still not getting any alerts for tweets or dm.
Hi,
We are a small charity about to join Twitter!! I have been given the responsibility of tweeting and responding, along with another colleague. My question is this – I only use my phone for my personal Twitter account and I use Tweetcaster. Is it possible to sync the charity account to my phone without losing access to my personal account?
Thank you.
Yes of course.
How about push on android?
Coming soon
Brilliant.
I could do w/o ads, but I love this app. Thanks so much.
Simply upgrade to TweetCaster Pro to get rid of ads
I love it! Powerful functionality!
Only complaint is:
When I tried out the free version I loved it so clicked on the “Go Pro” option in the menu, paid and it Became Pro.
All Good for a couple of days. Today I decided to change my twitter username and TC wouldn’t update the top button which shows it, so I decided to uninstall/reinstall and went straight for the “Pro” version listed in Market, thinking I wouldn’t be charged again. Well, I was..
Never mind – already sorted it out with Google by cancelling the earlier purchase. But maybe you guys should look into this and the fact that it didn’t update one’s username.
Otherwise..yeah, brilhant!
PLEEEEEEEEEEASE add push notifications for android! Pleeeease, the auto refresh for 10 minutes default doesn’t isn’t always reliable and when it does decide to work, new mentions come in up to 10 minutes late! Other than that, I have the Pro version and the interface is beautiful.
We are working hard on adding push notifications to both Android and iOS versions!
TC pro is a great app. Thanks for that. I use it on my android phone and my ipad and keeping these devices in sync is just a great achievement. However – Since recently all the links (at least on the ipad-Version) are opened in a readability-preview style which isn’t always good for webpages. Is there an option to turn this off and rather display the real html of the pages?
Thanks for any comments.
Please use the Readability toggle switch to turn this feature on/off.
I accidently checked to use readability. Now i can’t get rid of it. How do i get rid of it? Can’t find a setting from within readability. No defaults stored in the application manager where it should be. If it’s so great, why do you make it so hard to remove, just like a virus.
On TweetCaster Android, go to menu button > More > Settings > Tweets > URL action to switch how you open URLs.
Can you help me sort out some repeated issues with Readability? More often than not, when I select a link, I get a ‘Unable to Parse Article’ returned back to me. The text basically says that ‘Readability currently works best with pages that have a sizeable amount of content to read???’ Whatever, I’d just like to read the article. Just love your app otherwise. (Am currently using Tweetcaster Pro on an iPhone 4s).
Some web pages simply are not set up for Readability to work correctly. If you are finding this a lot, simply tap the toggle switch that appears below the web view on TweetCaster for iPhone. That will switch it back to the regular web view. It will stay in that position until you change it back to Readability view.
Please please please make a desktop version on this. I actually prefer twitter (via tweetcaster of course) on my tablet over any desktop app, And it’s not even close! I would gladly pony up 5-10 bucks for desktop version that has all the features of the android app.
Is there anyway i can turn on the notification for selected people only? now it seems like it’s just a single type of notification. If u turned on the notification on new tweet, and u r following mayb 50 of people/websites, i guess the phone will be non stop sending the notification for the tweets
i will ask what others have asked for. A DESKTOP version. I love this app on my android phone. Please?
Lots have asked. We’re working on it.
I hate Readability, but every URL automatically opens in it, even though I have unselected it in my Settings. This is extremely annoying. I don’t want to use Readability. Is there anyway to stop it? I’ve checked everywhere and I don’t have the app installed, so it must be the Tweetcaster default. I’d rather web links opened in browser. Can you help?
There is a simple toggle switch on bottom of screen in iPad version. Top of screen in iPhone version.
