2012 will be a year of simplification and curation.  OneLouder’s socially-powered apps have done great, receiving both critical and marketplace success.  I’m proud to have top apps in every category where we choose to play.  We will continue to organize and simplify social content for mobile without dumbing things down.

There is a common thread to what we are doing.  We are making interactions with mobile/Internet content easier and more interesting.  TweetCaster provides ZipIt!, SmartLists, and SearchParty……..all innovations that are better ways of finding and consuming Twitter content.  FriendCaster has always been about doing Facebook right.  Going forward, this will be about helping people organize and present the content they product, and curate the social content shared by their friends.  SportCaster combines traditional sports content with filtered social commentary to deliver a great new mobile sports experience.  ChannelCaster is the first community-powered app enabling mobile users to create and broadcast their own Channels by combining news and entertainment from thousands of dynamic sources like Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, news websites, and blogs.  BaconReader will be the absolute best way for the more than 34 million (and growing!) folks visiting Reddit each month to post and consume that content from a mobile device.

We have a roadmap established outlining serious enhancements for all of our current offerings and you’ll be seeing those updates in action soon.  Additionally, we will be delivering a new way to use Twitter that could be a game changer.  We LOVE Twitter and see so much more potential than is being realized currently.  Again……organizing and simplifying without dumbing down.

Good writing is a combination of the skill of the writer and creative ideas.  Similarly, good apps are a combination of form/function coupled with the actual content.  We are playing in a sandbox that contains unbelievably interesting content.  In 2012, we will curate and present that content in interesting ways that continue to deliver the best interactions.  Stay tuned.
